What the Family Camp experience has been like for those that attended:
One of our favourite pictures, Hunter (centre) arrived very shy, and by Saturday night he was lighting others up with his contagious smile! We love you Hunter!
At the end of last year, one of the co-facilitators (we love you Journey), created a book and passed it around to the families that attended the first ever family camp.
Maurice carries this book in his backpack as a reminder.
Here, we share some of the memories, and we do so with extreme gratitude to the families that came out to a program they knew little about and to a place that many had never been before.
Your courage brought this experience together.
Family Camp is an example of the possibilities that are created when we collectively push past our fears and trust!
Ian was an immense gift to family camp, he poured his heart, mind and soul into the land.
In this picture, he holds hands with Fred Penner, and was lite up like a 6-year old boy!
